Registration
Arriving in Duisburg.
Anyone moving to Germany must register with the city within 14 days.
On the day of the key handover you receive the landlord confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung) from us. Without this document registration is not possible.
For your appointment at the citizens' office you need three things: your passport, the tenancy agreement on paper and the landlord confirmation.
Book the appointment early – waiting times can be long. If nothing is available within the 14 days, simply take the next possible slot; that is not a problem.
